Our journey began nearly nine decades ago in a small, traditional South Indian village as a humble rice miller in Kanjikoil, in the Erode district of Tamil Nadu - where tradition met purpose. Rooted in respect for agriculture and time-honoured food practices, this foundation shaped a deep understanding of how food influences life and well-being. Over the years, the need to return to clean, honest food became more urgent, especially as modern habits and rising lifestyle diseases quietly began undermining health. The pandemic served as a defining reminder of this truth, reinforcing the importance of food that truly nourishes.

This mission became deeply personal for our founder, the late Mr. Shrimann Adhith, when he witnessed his father’s recovery from an autoimmune condition through clean, traditional food practices. That experience affirmed a belief that now defines Kshetra - Food is thy Medicine. Disturbed by widespread adulteration, unhygienic processing, and compromised food systems, he envisioned rebuilding the food ecosystem with purity, hygiene, and accountability at its core. He named the brand Kshetra, meaning Holy Land, to honour the farmland from which all nourishment begins and to treat every product as a sacred offering. Though his life was tragically cut short, his vision continues to guide Kshetra’s purpose - to reduce long-term healthcare burdens and help build a healthier, happier next generation, starting from the holy farmland.
